Lava Fix anyone? :-)

Here’s a selection of images from our most recent lava photo charter, capturing the varying colors and textures of molten lava…  It’s a feast for the eyes, and can be very addicting!  Have you had your fix today?

Big, thick braids form in this breakout.
This breakout had an unusual blueish hue on its surface.
Glow is still visible beneath the cooled surface of a flow.
A toe of pahoehoe forms intricate braids as it spreads and cools.
Molten lava flows from beneath the hardened crust of a tube.
Lava bleeds from beneath the floating, hardened crust of a finger.
Pahoehoe flows out from under the ruptured crust of a flow.
